Iguana Hunting at its Finest.

Iguanas eat native plant and animal species. They have been known to eat endangered animals and plant life. Some of the plant life is also home to local animal life. Iguanas are not above destroying personal gardens either.

Iguanas burrow and can cause expensive structural damage to buildings, roads, substations, and seawalls. In the city of west palm beach iguanas contributed to 1.8 million dollars worth of damage to a singular dam. The burrows can become quite extensive if an infestation occurs. 

Iguana burrows also displace native animals such as the endangered gopher tortoise and burrowing owls.  Burrows are also unsightly and tripping hazards, especially to people with handicaps.
